Let me tell you, I’m still trying
to recover.
Ever since we have been home, I
feel like it’s been go! go! go!
I have been working and doing a
maternity coverage near home.
I opened my online little
girls clothing shop.
Randy has been busy starting up
his construction business.
Tegan is growing like a weed!
My house is a disaster and I
can’t get caught up.
My sister is getting married in
just over a month!
I was sick with mastitis.
Oh man, the list could go on..
So, lets rewind a month and go
back to
--California--
Oh it was such a great time! We were so spoiled with good
Korean food,
beautiful weather, a small getaway to Palm Springs, and most
importantly family time!
Tegan LOVED her great aunts and
second cousins, and I totally think she could be a Cali babe. ;)
That being said, Randy and I realized vacationing with
a baby is A LOT of work!
What used to be:
-book tickets
-pack bags
-catch plane
-arrive
-check in
- order drink
-lay out
Now looks a little more like:
-book tickets
-call airline to inform them we
are traveling with an infant
-pack bags
-pack Tegan’s bags, carseat,
stroller, pump, diaper bag, toys, etc.
-arrive to airport extra early
-spend an extra 10-15 min trying
to get through security
- change diaper before catching
plane
- try to get Tegan to fall asleep
before boarding
-feed on takeoff if still awake
-take turns trying to entertain
her throughout flight
-arrive
-change diaper and feed
-play tetris trying to pack
whatever car picks us up with all our extra luggage
Then when in Palm Springs it
looked a little like this:
-check in
-request highchair and pack and
play if available
- lather Tegan in sunblock
-pack up diaper bag, sippy cup,
sunhat, toys, etc.
-feed and change diaper
-swim/play in pool for 30 min
-find shade to put Tegan down for
nap
-hang while waiting for Tegan to
wake up
-feed, change diaper, reapply
sunblock
-take turns entertaining and
chasing the spots with shade
-order water
-sunbathe.. ha, forget that! ;)
Okay.. but all joking aside, even
though it is a bit more work, she is 100% worth it! :)
While it is draining at
times trying to juggle a routine in an unfamiliar environment, when it is
all said and done, you wouldn’t change it for the world!
Here is a little recap of our
